13 walkers met at 12.30pm at the Andersons Bay Woolworths, pooled cars and headed down to Macandrew Bay for our walk, a warm welcomed Susan Pihema who joined the Saturday group on her first summer walk.
We headed up Marion Street (steep) in lovely warm weather to the top of Macandrew Bay where we took in the magnificent views of the Otago Harbour and the Otago Peninsula, other streets we visited taking in the lovely houses in this (microclimate) in Macandrew Bay were Jane Street, Barling Street and down Howard Street back onto the Peninsula cycle and walk way, walked ten minutes back along the cycle / walkway to the Macandrew Bay township, walked up Greenacres for 25 minutes enjoying the awesome rural outlook and finally returning back down Greenacres Street to Macandrew Bay. We then enjoyed a cold drink and cake at the Duck Cafe taking in the stunning views of the Otago Harbour and Macandrew Bay from the cafe.
