The Caversham Harriers Championship Cup
Oldest cup in the club
First donated by friends and members of the club in 1905 for the club’s 5 mile Cross Country Championship and costing two pounds fourteen shillings and three pence. (made of pewter). The range of winners range from 1905 first won by G N McKnight through to P N Sidon in 1954, an impressive 62 years of competition. Incidentally, the winner in 1953 was R T Cain our present Patron (this statement was written in 2016. Ron Cain passed away aged 89 in 2021. The current club patron is Jim Law)
