It’s a bonus when the weather doesn’t live up to the forecast, the rain stayed away and the day improved as all battled it out over the firm course. The club had 21 compete across all grades. One to shine was Calum Starkey 1st in the Boys U14 2.5k. In the Girls/Boys U12 1.25k Walter Howard-Smith 2nd, Perry Saker 5th, Alena Elder 19th Owen Roberts 22nd, enough to be 2nd in the Teams Race. Perry was equal fastest time of 5:28. Henry Hodgson was to record the fastest time of 9:56 in the Boys U16 2.5k. 12 of our senior men and women competed over the 5k and were all rewarded as the sun parted the clouds.
